Using LinkedIn Contacts to Become Kevin Bacon

As you may notice, I really like the examples given in Paul Gillin’s book, “Secrets of Social Media Marketing“.  The power of LinkedIn can be harnessed through contacts assembled.  A local North Carolina publicist built a national reputation for himself through the tool.

He has been successful in not only establishing business for himself, but also for setting up meetings for others, comparing himself to a sort of “Kevin Bacon“. 

If he doesn’t know someone, he will most likely know someone that does.  Hey, that is only 2 degrees of separation, not 6!
